Klimt in pastels| Styled photoshoot in Mint Room studios

Toronto, ON

For this styled photoshoot, the inspiration for the work came from the study of Vienna secession painter Gustav Klimt. In his "Golden Phase" gold, earth tones and indigo were the inspired colour palette and styling of the brides. Whimsical, playful and still elegant in a modern sensibility. The period between 1897-1905 saw Art nouveau artist step away from conservatism and into making more natural, decorative and sensual pieces that genuinely contributed to the collaboration of art and fashion in the 20th century.
